As Legal Counsel at Kraft Heinz Canada, Shelly Kubik is responsible for supporting business units in the Canadian offices. Her practice includes litigation management, advertising and marketing law, food law, corporate law, regulatory affairs, labour and employment law, competition law, privacy law, and ethics and compliance.
Prior to joining Kraft Heinz’ in-house legal team, Shelly was an insurance litigation lawyer with a practice in various areas of insurance defence, namely general torts, negligence claims, motor vehicles accidents, occupiers’ liability, products liability, as well as property and commercial general liability. She also assisted insurers with coverage opinions and coverage disputes.
Shelly completed her Bachelor of Civil Law (LL.B) at Université de Montréal, in 2018. She completed her Graduate studies at Université de Sherbrooke in 2019, where she obtained my Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Graduate Diploma in Common Law and Transnational Law, graduating with Honours Distinction, and making the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence.
Shelly is fluent in four languages, including French and Russian.
